The CR* BLADDER HEALTH, FEMALE INCONTINENCE AND PROLAPSE Clinic is a new clinic to Vancouver serving the increasing number of women requiring care for pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence.

The Clinic brings together multidisciplinary expertise to optimize the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders. Diagnosis is the key to successful management. Urodynamic, endoscopic and EMG studies are performed by our specially trained nurse and physicians to achieve this. As these conditions frequently occur in less mobile or elderly women, we have equipped our examination rooms with power-assisted beds and our clinic has full wheelchair access.

We have our own dedicated physiotherapist with specialization in female incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. This allows us to offer patients the most effective conservative management options including physiotherapy and the use of vaginal pessaries. We provide ongoing care for women who manage their prolapse symptoms with the use of a vaginal pessary. Proper maintenance of the pessary with periodic examination and review are vital to the long-term success.

For more complex issues, we are affiliated with the Centre for Pelvic Floor Competence at St. Paul's Hospital. Through this community of practice our patients have access to Dr. Geoffrey Cundiff and Dr. Roxana Geoffrion, who are fellowship-trained Urogynecologist. Together they bring over 25 years of experience to our patients.

Dr. Henry Woo serves as medical director of our Clinic and is based at Vancouver Hospital. Dr. Cundiff serves as the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Providence Health Care, and both Dr. Cundiff and Geoffrion are well published in the field of pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Darren Lazare is also an associate in our clinic. We look forward to serving patients with prolapse and female incontinence with the highest level of care as efficiently as possible.
